THE MANY ADVANTAGES OF RECYCLING CEDAR!

Recycling your cedar trimmings with Arbressence is an important ecological gesture,
but it is also a local economy gesture. Herein some of the many advantages
of recycling cedar:

  • Double recovery of cedar matter : Arbressence extracts its essential oil,
    then creates mulch and compost with the residues;
  • Direct job creation in our region;
  • Reduction of landfill waste, thus reducing emission of greenhouse effect gases;
  • More economic for municipalities than waste or “brown bin” management,
    with superior matter valorisation

CEDAR RECYCLING IS EASY!

Like other matters such as paper, plastic or glass, cedar is recyclable in the vast majority of the Laval, Laurentides and Lanaudière regions by Arbressence services.

If you reside these regions and you trim your cedars, do not throw away your trimmings. You can gather them in a pile accessible to a trailer or in bags left by your house, and communicate with Arbressence by phone
or by filling out our online form.Your trimmings will be collected within a 48 hour delay.

This service is free for citizens of municipalities who have a contractual agreement with Arbressence (see list above), or expect a minimal cost -generally 4$- to cover part of our handling and transportation costs.

REM : if you are cutting down your cedar, please consult our collection standards
to check our procedures for maximum matter recuperation.
