Blainville, September 9th, 2024 – Arbressence, the largest producer of conifer essential oils in Canada, is proud to announce the signing of a partnership with the City of Joliette. This new agreement, made with the most populous municipality in the MRC of Joliette and the third largest in the Lanaudière administrative region, marks a key milestone in Arbressence’s service expansion.
“We are pleased to have concluded this partnership agreement. This collaboration now allows us to offer residents an eco-friendly solution for managing cedar trimmings,” said Pierre-Luc Bellerose, Mayor of Joliette.
Thanks to this agreement, the citizens of Joliette will benefit from a free cedar trimming collection service. After trimming their cedar hedges, they can schedule a pickup through an online form or by phone at 450-434-7512. Arbressence commits to collecting their trimmings within 24 to 48 hours after receiving the request.
Arbressence hopes that the residents of Joliette will seize this opportunity to divert their cedar trimmings from landfills and take advantage of its free collection service, where the trimmings will be 100% recycled. They will be distilled to extract essential oil, while the residues will be transformed into valuable mulch, used as an eco-friendly backfill.
