Blainville, April 25, 2025 – For the second consecutive year, the City of Sainte-Catherine and Arbressence continue their collaboration to raise awareness among citizens about cedar scrap collection. Following a successful first year in 2024, the service will again be available to residents of Sainte-Catherine from May 1 to October 31, 2025.

Encouraging Results in the First Year

In 2024, 50 collections were completed, with a participation rate of 0.71%. While this first year marked the beginning of the partnership, Arbressence and the City of Sainte-Catherine are confident that participation will be higher in 2025, thanks to increased communication efforts.

A Simple, Quick, and Accessible Service

Citizens can easily sign up to schedule a cedar scrap collection through Arbressence’s website. This convenient approach allows residents to contribute to responsible green waste management in a simple, quick, and accessible manner.

The Ongoing Commitment of Sainte-Catherine and Arbressence

This collaboration aims to offer residents an easy and effective way to recycle their cedar scraps while reducing waste and promoting a sustainable approach. In 2025, the City of Sainte-Catherine will intensify its efforts to increase the service’s visibility and encourage even greater participation.
