Blainville, May 1, 2025 – Arbressence is pleased to announce the renewal of its agreement with the City of Deux-Montagnes for the 2025 cedar trimming collection service. Building on a long-standing collaboration, the City continues its efforts to sustainably and innovatively repurpose its organic materials.

Over a decade of commitment

A partner of the service since 2009, Deux-Montagnes is one of the pioneering cities in the Arbressence network. In 2024, the City recorded impressive results:

  • 992 collection requests

  • 104.16 tonnes of trimmings recovered

  • A 13.29% participation rate among households

These numbers reflect the growing engagement of citizens in environmental protection.

Repurposing cedar trimmings

Thanks to this collaboration, collected cedar trimmings are locally transformed into natural essential oil, contributing to a circular economy and reducing landfill waste. Every small action plays a part in creating a positive environmental impact.

Free service from May 1 to October 31, 2025

Throughout the 2025 season, residents of Deux-Montagnes will be able to take advantage of the free cedar trimming collection service with ease. Registration is quick and done online, and pickups are completed within 24 to 48 hours.

Working together for a greener future

Deux-Montagnes continues to demonstrate how a strong and lasting partnership can turn simple trimmings into valuable ecological resources. A source of pride for the City, Arbressence, and all participating citizens.
