Blainville, April 18, 2025<\/strong> \u2013 Arbressence is pleased to announce the renewal of its agreement with the Municipality of Oka for the 2025 cedar trimmings collection. This renewal marks a significant milestone: ten consecutive years of collaboration between Arbressence and the municipality in service of the environment and the community.<\/p>\n

Increasing Citizen Participation<\/strong><\/p>\n

The results from the 2024 season reflect the growing success of the partnership. A total of 301 collections were carried out, representing an increase of 3.79% compared to 2023, when 290 requests were recorded. The citizen participation rate reached 17.88%, allowing 31.61 tonnes of cedar residues to be diverted from landfilling.<\/p>\n

A Simple, Local, and Sustainable Initiative<\/strong><\/p>\n

Collection requests can be made online<\/a> from May 1 to October 31, 2025, directly on Arbressence\u2019s website. This program enables residents to dispose of their cedar trimmings responsibly while contributing to a tangible environmental project. The collected residues are locally processed at Arbressence\u2019s facilities and transformed into natural products such as essential oil and recoverable mulch<\/a>, following a circular economy approach.<\/p>\n

A Long-standing Partnership<\/strong><\/p>\n

Since 2015, the Municipality of Oka has trusted Arbressence to manage its cedar trimmings collection. This partnership is built on shared values: environmental protection, close engagement with citizens, and innovation in green waste recovery.<\/p>\n
