Blainville, March 25, 2025 – The City of L’Épiphanie is extending its partnership with Arbressence for a fourth year, reaffirming its commitment to responsible waste management. Thanks to this agreement, residents of L’Épiphanie have access to a completely free solution to dispose of their cedar trimmings while contributing to a meaningful environmental initiative.

In 2024, collections across L’Épiphanie’s territory resulted in the recovery of over 7 tons of cedar trimmings. This represents an impressive 68% increase compared to the previous year, demonstrating growing citizen engagement. However, the participation rate remains at 1.81%, highlighting significant room for improvement.

An Accessible Service Benefiting the Entire Community

From April 1 to November 1, residents can schedule a pickup through Arbressence’s website. They simply need to place their trimmings in bags or piles at the edge of their property, and they will be collected within 24 to 48 hours. Once transported to Arbressence’s distillery, the trimmings are transformed into essential oil, while the resulting mulch is redistributed to agricultural partners.

A Simple Action for a Lasting Impact

By taking part in this initiative, the residents of L’Épiphanie are not only helping to reduce landfill waste but also contributing to lower municipal waste management costs. The significant growth in collections in 2024 reflects a positive environmental shift, and Arbressence encourages the entire community to continue this momentum, making L’Épiphanie a model of eco-responsibility.
