Blainville, April 24, 2025 – In 2025, the City of Joliette is entering its second year of collaboration with Arbressence for cedar clipping collection. Thanks to this partnership, which began in 2024, the service is now gaining full momentum and will be available this year from May 1 to October 31, 2025.
Promising First Steps
In 2024, Joliette recorded 109 collection requests, with a total of 11.45 tonnes of cedar clippings recovered, representing a participation rate of 0.98%. Although participation began late in the fall, these early results highlight the potential of this collaboration. Arbressence is confident that continued outreach will encourage greater participation in the coming years.
A Simple and Accessible Solution
Residents of Joliette can easily schedule their cedar trimmings collection online via the Arbressence website starting May 1, 2025. This convenient and accessible solution allows citizens to contribute to a greener approach to yard waste management.
A City Looking Toward the Future
Through this partnership, the City of Joliette joins a growing number of Quebec municipalities choosing more sustainable practices for managing residual materials. The City continues to position itself as a key player in the ecological transition — and this initiative is just the beginning.
