Blainville, May 5, 2025 – The City of Saint-Eustache is pleased to renew its partnership for the 16th year with the company Arbressence to offer its residents a free home cedar trimmings collection service.

The company repurposes this material to create, among other things, essential oil and natural mulch.

This service is greatly appreciated by the residents of Saint-Eustache, as evidenced by the city ranking 4th in number of requests among all municipalities participating in the service. In 2024, a total of 2,208 collection requests were recorded, resulting in the collection of over 230 tons of cedar trimmings.

How to Use the Service

Please note that only cedar is accepted for this collection. No other green waste will be picked up.

  • Fill out the short online form on Arbressence’s website, available throughout the summer season.

  • Place the cedar trimmings at the curbside, either in piles or in bags, so they can be collected by the company within 24 to 48 hours.

  • The cedar trimmings must consist of 100% green foliage.

  • Only trimmings and branches with a diameter of less than 2.5 cm (1 inch) and a maximum length of 0.9 m (3 feet) can be collected through this service (typically, anything that can be trimmed with hedge shears).

  • For branches with a larger diameter, the recommended solution is to bring them to the local eco-centre.
