Blainville, July 3rd, 2024 – Arbressence, the largest producer of conifer essential oils in Canada, is proud to announce its new partnership with the City of Saint-Charles-Borromée for cedar trimming collection. The city had shown enthusiasm when the MRC of Joliette suggested that the municipalities within its territory use Arbressence’s services.
Kevin Girard, Director of Development at Arbressence, stated: “We are delighted to have concluded this agreement with the City of Saint-Charles-Borromée. This partnership allows us to strengthen our presence in the Joliette region and continue to offer ecological and sustainable solutions to its residents.”
This partnership perfectly aligns with Saint-Charles-Borromée’s environmental orientation. By offering this cedar trimming collection service, the city demonstrates its commitment to adopting sustainable practices and raising awareness among its citizens about the importance of responsible waste management.
After trimming their cedar hedges, the citizens of Saint-Charles-Borromée can schedule a collection via the form available on our website or by phone at 450-434-7512. Arbressence will pick up the trimmings within 48 hours. By taking this simple and free action, citizens engage in a circular economy process. Their cedar trimmings will be collected, transformed to extract essential oil, and then repurposed as residual mulch, which can be used as ecological backfill. This action helps divert hundreds of tons of material from landfills and reduces greenhouse gas emissions.
