Arbressence Announces New Exclusive Partnership with the Municipality of Saint-Thomas
Blainville, July 3, 2024 – Arbressence, the largest producer of conifer essential oil in Canada, is proud to announce the signing of an exclusive partnership with the municipality of Saint-Thomas. This partnership allows Arbressence to become the sole collector of cedar trimmings in the territory of Saint-Thomas, the very first municipality in the Joliette RCM to conclude such an agreement.
After trimming their cedar hedges, the citizens of Saint-Thomas can schedule a collection via the form available on Arbressence’s website or by phone at 450-434-7512. Arbressence will pick up the valuable trimmings within 24 to 48 hours. By taking this simple and free action, they can give a second life to their cedar trimmings, thus helping to divert hundreds of tons of material from landfills where they would have emitted greenhouse gases. The essential oil will be extracted, and the cedar trimmings will be transformed into a residual mulch that can be used as ecological backfill.
Arbressence hopes that the citizens of Saint-Thomas will take advantage of this opportunity to participate in the circular economy as well as in better management of their residual materials.
About Arbressence – With 20 years of experience in cedar recycling, Arbressence is known for its commitment to sustainable environmental practices. The company remains a leader in the management of organic matter, thus contributing to the promotion of sustainable environmental practices.
