Blainville, April 15, 2025 – The City of Mirabel and Arbressence are pleased to announce the renewal of their agreement for 2025. After officially joining the program in 2024, this partnership continues to grow and helps residents manage their cedar trimmings in an eco-friendly way.

A Year of Strong Growth

In 2024, Mirabel recorded 1,893 collection requests, representing a total of 198.77 tons of cedar trimmings recovered. The city saw an increase of nearly 30% compared to the previous year, with 420 additional requests. “This remarkable progress reflects the commitment of Mirabel residents to sustainable practices. Our partnership with Arbressence is a concrete example of our environmental vision for the city,” said Evelyne Lapeyrie, Sustainable Development Advisor.

A Well-Established and Promising Service

While the service was already known in the region, the official onboarding of the City of Mirabel in 2024 marked a key step in optimizing collection efforts. Building on this success, the city is committed to continuing this momentum in 2025 and promoting sustainable practices among its residents.

Collections Resume May 1st

Mirabel residents will once again benefit from the cedar trimming collection service from May 1 to October 31, 2025. Requesting a pickup remains quick and easy — directly online at www.arbressence.ca. “We’re thrilled to continue our collaboration with Mirabel, where residents have so enthusiastically embraced our service. Every trimming collected supports our mission of revaluing natural resources,” said Kevin Girard, Director of Development.

Strong Growth Potential Ahead

With enthusiastic residents and a service that is now firmly in place, Mirabel shows tremendous growth potential for the years ahead. The city continues to lead by example in the sustainable management of green waste.
