Blainville, April 16, 2025 – Arbressence is proud to announce the renewal of its agreement with the City of Saint-Sauveur for the collection and valorization of cedar waste.

A Notable Progression and Growth Potential

In 2024, 211 collections were carried out, representing an increase of 4.45% compared to 2023, when there were 202 requests. Thanks to citizen engagement, 22.16 tons of cedar waste were diverted from landfill and repurposed in a circular economy approach.

A Free, Simple, and Eco-friendly Service

Arbressence’s cedar collection service provides residents of Saint-Sauveur with a practical and environmentally friendly solution for disposing of their cedar waste. Collection requests can be made online, from May 1 to October 31, 2025, through the Arbressence platform. Once collected, the waste is transported to the company’s facilities to be distilled. This process extracts cedar essential oil, while the remaining valuable mulch is redistributed to municipal and corporate partners to enrich soils.

Towards Stronger Citizen Mobilization

In 2025, the City of Saint-Sauveur is committed to raising awareness of this service among its citizens, which will help increase participation, reduce the landfill of green waste, and promote sustainable practices within the community.

About Arbressence: Arbressence is the largest producer of conifer essential oils in Canada. With 20 years of experience in cedar recycling, Arbressence is recognized for its commitment to sustainable environmental practices.
