Blainville, April 22, 2024 – Arbressence, the largest producer of conifer essential oil in Canada, is pleased to announce its partnership with the MRC de Marguerite-D’Youville, which includes the municipalities of Calixa-Lavallée, Contrecoeur, Saint-Amable, Sainte-Julie, Varennes, and Verchères. This partnership allows Arbressence to expand the coverage of its cedar trimmings collection service on the South Shore, a new feature for 2024!

This partnership is representative of the MRC’s commitment to sustainable development in its territory and its desire to offer quality services to its citizens. Arbressence encourages all residents of the area to use its cedar trimmings collection service by filling out the form available on its website or by scheduling a collection by phone at 450-434-7512. Residents will then only need to dispose of their trimmings in piles or bags at the edge of the road so that one of our electric or propane trucks can pick them up within 48 hours.

Residents can also ensure the valorization of their cedar trimmings by bringing them to one of the two sectors of the Marguerite-D’Youville ecocenter located in Contrecoeur and Varennes, which will serve as official drop-off points serviced by Arbressence.

Arbressence actively participates in the circular economy by transforming cedar trimmings into valuable resources rather than sending them to landfills. By extracting essential oil from cedar trimmings and recycling valuable residual mulch, the company gives a second life to these materials, contributing to waste reduction and the preservation of natural resources. This sustainable approach promotes an environmentally friendly economic model, where waste becomes precious resources in a continuous cycle of reuse.

About Arbressence: With 20 years of experience in cedar recycling, Arbressence is recognized for its commitment to sustainable environmental practices. The company remains a leader in organic material management, thus contributing to the promotion of sustainable environmental practices.
