Blainville, April 2nd, 2024 – Arbressence, the largest producer of conifer essential oil in Canada, proudly announces its partnership with the organization Complexe Le Partage. This partnership will allow residents of the municipalities of Saint-Constant, Saint-Mathieu, and Sainte-Catherine to dispose of their cedar trimmings in an ecological manner.

Citizens wishing to give a second life to their cedar trimmings can bring them to the drop-off point, which is the city’s ecocenter located at 25 montée Lasaline. As the manager of the ecocenter for the City of Saint-Constant, Complexe Le Partage has entered into this agreement with us to commit to its goal of diverting as much material as possible from landfills.

This partnership will enable Arbressence to distill the cedar trimmings collected at the ecocenter, thereby extracting valuable essential oil. The residual mulch from the distillation process can then be used as ecological backfill, giving a second life to material that would otherwise be lost. By recycling cedar trimmings, Arbressence contributes to environmental preservation by avoiding their disposal in landfills.

Circular economy is at the heart of Arbressence’s mission, which is committed to valorizing every element of the cedar trimmings collected. By adopting a circular approach, Arbressence actively contributes to waste reduction and natural resource preservation while promoting a sustainable economic model.

Arbressence invites residents of Saint-Constant to support this initiative by bringing their cedar trimmings to the ecocenter. Together, we can make a significant difference for the environment.
